I have watch this movie a more than a year ago. This movie is about the Tang Monk, Tripitaka. It start out with the arrival of Tripitaka and his 3 disciples to the Shache city. Then a demon show up (I think he is a tree demon) with all his deminions. Wu Kong fight with the demon but fail to beat him. Wu Kong has no choice but to wrap Tripitaka to his magic cudgel and throw him far away from the demons. Wu Kong, Pigsy, and Wu Jing all get capture, while the flying Tripitaka landed to a demon lair. There he meets a young lizard imp named Mei Yan (Charlene Choi). She is very ugly, as you could see in the picture below.


Anyway, Mei Yan falls in love with Tripitaka and she is willing to go with him to help rescue his 3 disciples. She stick with him during his fight training. The other demons also help. And also he met a princess from outer space name Xiaosha (Fan Bing Bing). She's willing to help Tripitaka in the fight to rescue his disciples too.

During the training I believe they, Tripitaka and Mei Yan, went to a realm where they kill the 4 imperial gods.

For that they will pay later. During their time together, Tripitaka eventually fall in love with Mei Yan.


Mei Yan later discover her true identity. She is actually one of the space warrior. Then she transform into a beautiful "angel". She went to help Tripitaka rescue his disciples and kill the demons.


After the battle, Mei Yan surrenders to be punished for killing of the gods before. Tripitaka rebels against heaven. (awesome ) But he is no match for all those gods in heaven. Wu Kong manage to hold the Jade Emperor hostage but it was too late. The bleeding Tripitaka try to crawl to the tie up Mei Yan. With his last breath he manage to said "I love you" to Mei Yan by hand signal.



Then Buddha show up and promise to save Tripitaka's live on 1 condition. That is Tripitaka must go on a journey to the west to get the sutras. And so begin the Journey to the West.
